Fake note racket busted in Kurnool

Kurnool, Jan 16: The Crime Branch Station, Kurnool (CBS) police busted a fake certificate and counterfeit currency notes circulating racket here on Saturday. In this connection, the Crime  Branch police arrested three members of the racket.The police seized a laptop computer, printer, scanner, pen-drive, fake currency notes and certificates of different universities.Acting on a tip off that the gang were striking a deal with a couple of customers in Kurnool with regard to  fake educational certificates,

a team of poice officials trapped the memebers of the racket and arrested them.According to the police sources, the racket would deliver the educational certificate for a reasonable amount of Rs 1,500 to 2,000.On investigaton the police were able to trace out the place where actually the  prinitng was taking place  and  raided  that particuar spot.During the raid, the police seized a colour printer, scanner-cum-copier machine along with fake currency notes. Apart from these, the police also seized printing material and rubber stamps which are used  in producing fake certificates.
