Visakhapatnam,Dec 16:Fearing the  deteriorating condition of their health, the police swiftly moved all the five Students of Andhra University Joint Action Committee to the King George Hospital on Wednesday morning.The Students were on an indefinite fast since Monday night  in protest against the  bifurcation of the State.Acting in accordance with the State Human Rights Commission’s order to prohibit any hunger strike on the university campus the police resorted to this action.In fact, the  fast on the AU campus began as a relay hunger strike but the Students continued to go on an indefinite fast despite requests from the police officials to call off their fast.

On Wednesday morning a good number of police men swooped on the tent of the fasting Students in the campus and shifted them to hospital.During the shifting operations the mobiles of the fasting Students were seized.Once the fasting Students were removed to the hospital another batch of Students took their  place.The women police occupied the chairs on which the Students were fasting causing a little bit of uneasiness among the Students who were present on the spot.However later on the request from the fasting Students the women police vacated the chairs allowing the fasting student to occupy the chairs.Meanwhile Ch. Venkataramaiah MLA of Praja Rajyam Party staged a rasta roko in front of the main gate of Visakhapatnam  Steel Plant for an hour and  half.
