Hyderabad, Oct 10 :

 The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, on Saturday left for conducting an aerial survey in Kurnool and Mahabubnagar districts from Begumpet airport. The Prime Minister along with the Chief Minister, K Rosaiah, and Union Minister for Law and In-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Veerappa Moily, left for conducting aerial survey in the flood affected parts of Kurnool and Mahabubnagar districts to assess the devastation caused to property and loss of lives.

The Prime Minister will also conduct aerial survey in north Karnataka along with Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa  to assess the flood damage in Belgaum, Bijapur, Gadag, Koppal and Davanagere districts. After conducting the serial survey, he will leave for New Delhi by evening. The PM has already conducted aerial survey in parts of flood affected Krishna and Guntur districts on Friday and announced Rs 1,000 crores as advance Central assistance for relief and rehabilitation works in Andhra Pradesh.
