 The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (Acb) on Wednesday conducted a simultaneous raid on the office and residences of three Panchyat Raj Officers and unearthed assets to the tune of Rs 10 crores.

The simultaneous raid on the office and home of Vijaya Kumar and his relatives, who was working as Superintendent Engineer in Medak Panchayat Raj, began in morning hours. In the searches that continued till evening, the Acb sleuths unearthed Rs 6 crore worth assets.

His riches included 60 acres farm land worth Rs 5 crore, a flat, furniture in the house, jewellery and bank balance. In another raid conducted by Acb on his colleague, Venkateshwarlu, who was working as Senior Engineer in Nizamabad panchayat Raj, assets to the tune of Rs one crores have been seized. In a raid conducted by Acb on Warangal Senior Engineer Kiran Kumar, the officials seized assets worth Rs 2.5 crore from him. Officials said they were likely of coming across more assets in terms of cash and jewellery. The Acb sleuths conducted raids on the officials following complaints that they amassed assets disproportionate to their known sources of income. A disproportionate assets case was registered against all of them.
