Hyderabad, Sept 19 :

  Minister for Rural Development, Pensions and Indira Kranti Patham, Vatti Vasantha Kumar on Saturday stated that the government would establish Call Centers throughout the state to receive  grievances in connection with pensions, Indira Kranthi patham and other village development schemes.

Talking to media persons after inaugurating the call centre at Secretariat, the Minister said that the Call Centers will collect the grievance petitions from public and help them in implementing government schemes on schedule.

The call centres will work round-the-clock and collect 500 petitions per day from the public. People can also call toll free number 155321 to lodge a complaint at the call centre, he added.

He wanted the officers to work with zeal to make the programme a role model in the country. The Call Centers will also help in checking corruption in the government schemes, he pointed out.

He also wanted the officials of the Rural Development Department and Special Officer Abhayahastham to speed up the preparatory works for handing over of individual policy to one crore women by November 1, 2009.
