Gang Leader pours cold water on the dreams of mega fans. Of late fans of almost all the stars are pressuring and ensuring that their stars' yesteryear blockbusters are rereleased on screen so that they can relive the memories. Already the films of many stars released and entertained all the fans.

In the wake of this, mega fans have been waiting eagerly for the re-release of Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Gang Leader. They are getting ready to celebrate the moments on 11 February in theatres. In the midst of all this, they got a huge shock when it came out that the rerelease got postponed due to technical issues.

Mega fans are extremely disappointed with the turn of events as few theatres started the advance bookings also. Some say, the re-release was planned in a haphazard manner and when Chiranjeevi's recent entertainer Waltair Veerayya is still running successfully, it was not at all advised.

Gang Leader starred Vijayashanthi as the female lead while  Raogopal Rao, Kaikala Satyanarayana, Murali Mohan, Sarathkumar, Sumalatha, and Nirmalamma played key roles under the direction of Vijaya Bapineedu. The film's music was scored by Bappi Lahari.
