Controversy: Mister Mummy back off

Genelia Deshmukh who tempted Tollywood with her performances later entered into wedlock with Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh. She is making a comeback after more than a decade and her film along with her husband Ritesh Deshmukh is attracting the attention of all. The film titled Mister Mummy is directed by Shaad Ali. The makers who planned to release the film on November 11, 2022, now decided to release it a week later on November 18, 2022.

Sharing the details, the makers posted "RITEISH - GENELIA: 'Mister Mummy' MOVES TO NEXT WEEK... #MisterMummy - starring #RiteishDeshmukh and #GeneliaDeshmukh - was slated for release on 11 Nov 2022… Will now release a week later, on 18 Nov 2022…" Earlier the film landed in controversy when filmmaker Akash Chatterjee alleged that the makers plagiarised his story.

Speaking to scribes, he said the film was earlier titled Vickey Pet Se. He shared “The writer Nirnimesh Dubey and I were in touch with Krishan Kumar since 2020. He agreed to co-produce the film as he really liked the concept.". He added, "Either you do this film with us or we’ll make it. But, Covid happened. Everything was put on hold and I didn’t hear anything about it.” .He went on to reveal " “At first, I was just shocked...disappointed and could not believe that they would do this to us.They are such well known people and you do not expect something of this sort from them. Also, it does not look good ,” he says, adding, “I am in talks with my lawyers and willing to take a legal actions, if needed. I am neither claiming money nor am I trying to create trouble for the filmmakers and the production house. All I want is credit, which my team and I deserve.”"Bhushan Kumar of T.Series however said he is unaware of these developments.
