Justice Subramaniam directed Vijay to pay the entry tax as demanded by the respondents within two weeks from the receipt of a copy of the order and asked Vijay to pay the fine to the Tamil Nadu CM's COVID-19 Public Relief Fund. The High Court directed the Home Department(Transport), Assistant Commissioner(Commercial Taxes_ of Chennai Assessment Circle, Regional Transport Officer, and Motor Vehicle Inspector of Chennai South to take further actions if Vijay fails to pay the fine.

The order came after Vija came with a petition challenging the entry tax by the transport authorities to register his imported Rolls Royce Ghost car worth Rs 5crs, even after paying the duty to the customs department.
