When cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was conferred Bharat Ratna award by the Government of India, it was felt by many that the award could have been promulgated to Wizard of Hockey, Dhyan Chand, posthumously.

Anyhow, Sachin Tendulkar deserves to receive the highest civilion award as he had scored 100 tonnes before and minted highest runs in test and one day matches. Above all, he stands tall in attitude. Whatever the situation, would team India face, the cricket God would exhibit balanced state of emotions which is the instrumental factor Sachin being considered the best among all other players of world cricket.

Let's talk about current day cricket. Indian skipper Virat Kohli appeared to be breaching all the records created by Tendulkar. Virat played quite effectively for many years. But then, he hasn't lived up to the expectations for the past one year. It's said that no single century was scored by Kohli for his previous 21 matches.

That's not the worrying factor about Kohli. He may gain his lost form and will hit the bulls eye for sure. Notwithstandng, his fans and cricket lovers have been annoyed with Kohli for skipping 3 crucial test matches against Australia. As is known, team India has a poor track record abroad. Most particularly, team India stands rock bottom, given the winning statistics of India and Ausis in Australia. On the other side, team's another great player Rohit Sharma was out of the team on health grounds. At this pathetic framework, Kohli shouldn't have skipped even a single match with the Kangaroos in any format. But then, nothing of that sort happened. Kohli will be absconding 3 test matches with Ausis, just for the sake to be attending his wife Anushka Sharma's delivery to shower an immense solidarity, support and affection towards her.

By and large, it's evident that Virat is not that dedicated player as is felt by the people, hitherto. For him, the obligation to family is more important than the obligation for India. In that case, the Government of India shouldn't  adjudge awards to Kohli as a cricket player. Instead, he must be given away awards for being the best family man.
