Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai recreated the magic of the original film. The film which was a clear winner at the box-office is also an all-time hit to date over its mellifluous songs. However, surprisingly Sanjay and musician Ismail Darbar have not worked together again post Devdas that was released in 2002. Folks, do you know the reason behind it?
Well, Ismail Darbar in an interview has spilled the beans over not teaming up again stating that the duo had major fall out over changes. Stating more on it, Ismail said, “Bhansali was not happy even with Dola Re. I was not ready to change, neither 'Dola Re' nor 'Bairi Piya'. Our skirmishes delayed the shoot. Bhansali's booked time duration in Film City ended aur phir unko ko ek new set lagana padha away from Film City to complete the song.”
Ask him if he is willing to collaborate with Ram Leela director in future, he says, “I would love to work with Bhansali again but not at the cost of compromising my creativity."
