Everyone is aware that a multi starrer Naan Rudran featuring Nagarjuna, Aravind Swamy, SJ Surya, Sarath Kumar, Anu Emmanuel under the direction of Dhanush got shelved after a few months of shooting due to budget and other problems.
Dhanush planned the project with Rs 80crs budget and reports came that the production house Thenandral Films opted out of the project and this resulted in the stalling of the film.
However Dhanush did not lose hope and in the lockdown, he worked on the script and slashed the budget and convinced other producers to start the project. In the meantime, another news is coming that the film would have two directors.
Apart from Dhanush, his brother Selva Raghavan will also direct the film which has a backdrop of 600years old in the lines of Yuganiki Okkadu. Dhanush felt that he couldn't handle those period scenes and Selva agreed to direct them.
Two brothers directing a film its self is unique. Dhanush earlier planned to cast his father in law Rajinikanth but since there is no scope for him to do that film decided to rope in Nagarjuna. Dhanush scored a hit with Power Pandi as a director and is raring to continue the success run.
