Huge controversy was generated when Vijay Deverakonda lashed out against a couple of websites for spreading fake news tarnishing his image. Almost all the top stars right from Megastar Chiranjeevi to Superstar Mahesh Babu, entire film fraternity came in support of Vijay Deverakonda.

Under these circumstances, a question arises who are saints among film stars and websites. There is no denying the fact that websites survive on spreading rumors, gossips, and fake news. Most of the articles that appear in websites, print, and electronic media are on mere speculation.

Film stars and their fans enjoy the same fake news as long as it turns out to be positive and they hog the media limelight.

Celebrities shower praises on websites for positive articles about their personality, family, films, collections, etc. But when any negative articles come regarding their films, personal life, they fire on all cylinders.

Many celebrities, their PROs manage media during the film releases to get positive reviews and collections.

The same is the case with web media, print, and electronic media. They thrive on fake news, rumors, and gossips to increase TRPs and viewership. Sometimes they even threaten celebrities and PROs to come with negative articles about their films, if they do not heed to their demands or not looked after properly.

Under these circumstances, film stars and websites operate on quid pro quo basis and if differences arise, they lash out at each other. So in this competitive world, no one is a saint among film stars and websites and there are no ethics and moral values.

Journalistic values went down a long time back and so one cannot talk of them at present. Those who follow journalistic values are often looked down upon by everyone.
