Megastar Chiranjeevi realized his dream of starring in the role of a freedom fighter on the silver screen by donning the role of India's first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in Sye Raa. Ram Charan went all out to realize his father's dream under the direction of Surender Reddy by releasing the film in various languages across the country.

During the film shooting, a section from Uyyalawada family members protested in front of Chiranjeevi's house accusing the makers of not compensating and going back on their promise to help them after the film shoot. Mega family members and Ram Charan at that time claimed that Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was a national icon and one need to not get any permission from family members to make a film and promised to undertake development activities of Uyyalawada.

But it seems mega family completely forgot their promise and in fact, Megastar insulted the freedom fighter. Feb 21 happens to be the death anniversary of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and media as usual ignored the forgotten freedom fighter. But what is shocking is even the mega family and Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan who has made a film on him claiming to narrate the story of an unsung hero, did not even come with a single line offering tributes to the great warrior.
