Yesteryear actress Soundarya who stole the hearts of all with her sensational performances, breathtaking expressions, breathed her last when she lost her life in a helicopter crash breaking the hearts of one and all.

Meanwhile, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna said Soundarya was down to earth and humble even after she attained stardom. He said once she revealed him that her dad too was a writer which surprised him and he felt happy that a writer's daughter became a top star.

He said had she been alive, she would have done many memorable roles. He said, “I was at Osmania University on April 17, 2004, and moments from being conferred doctorate in the literary field. I was happy as I was realizing my mother's dream. During that time a journalist came and broke the news about the helicopter crash and the death of Soundarya. It was tragic on hearing the death of Soundarya when I was about to realize my mother's dream."

He further said, “Soundarya's death was unexpected. She was supposed to come on a plane. But due to the Aptamitra shooting, she missed her flight. So she took the helicopter. Had she come in flight, we wouldn't have missed a great actress. Her void cannot be filled on-screen."
