Vijay Deverakonda’s Film Title, What Is Liger?

Fighter was the title considered for Vijay Deverakonda’s ongoing film with director Puri Jagannadh. When they almost finalized the title, Karan Johar who’s co-producing the film has suggested Puri to look for other option. It seems, the team has now locked title for the film.

The film is titled crazily as Liger. It is said to be Vijay Deverakonda’s character name in the film. Then what does Liger mean? It is the hybrid offspring of a female tiger and a male lion (word origin: lion + tiger). Nonetheless, we need to wait for some more time to know the reason behind makers naming the film as Liger.

The film’s first shooting schedule was wrapped up recently in Mumbai. The new schedule of the film which is being made in Hindi and all four South Indian languages will commence later this month.

Vijay Deverakonda who trained extensively in Mixed Martial Arts and other fighting sports in Thailand will be seen as a martial artist. Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey is considered to play female lead.

Currently, Vijay Deverakonda is in Hyderabad to promote his next release World Famous Lover hitting the screens on 14th of this month.
