Superstar Mahesh Babu who is basking in the success of Sarileru Neekevvaru is enjoying vacation with family in USA. The actor who has been suffering from severe knee pain for the past few years will be undergoing surgery. The surgery will be performed in the last week of January and doctors are said to have advised five months rest for the actor.
Mahesh Babu had sustained the knee injury while shooting in Bellary for Aagadu title song. He underwent surgery in 2017. But, things didn't work out as Mahesh Babu did not take rest as advised by the doctors. Now, he has decided to take ample rest after the surgery. He may not immediately start shooting for his next film after coming back to city in April or May.
Mahesh Babu for his next will be teaming up with his Maharshi director Vamsi Paidipally for a commercial potboiler to be bankrolled by Dil Raju. The film is likely to go on floors in second half of this year and plans are on to release the film for Sankranti, 2021.
