Prince Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru's title song was released a couple of months ago. Though the song depicts the sacrifice of a soldier and potency of a protagonist, it received backlash from music lovers for the routine composition by Devi Sri Prasad.
The film's second single 'Mind Block' is a DSP's style foot tapping number. In spite of consisting good rhythm and beat, critics and netizens lashed it out that it's yet another monotonous composition from DSP.
Sarileru Neekevvaru's third single 'Suryudivo Chandrudivo' was released by film's team on Monday. Given its tune and lyrics, the song has come out a decent number though it mightn't be a chartbuster. Strangely, even this song too received castigation from critics.
But then, why this negativity on SLN songs? According to cine observers, a big competition is already set between SLN and Stylish Star Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramloo. AVPL's songs received an unprecedented response by music lovers. In fact, no film's songs should be compared with AVPL's songs at this moment. Nonetheless, SLN and AVPL are releasing with a day's gap in between for upcoming Sankranthi season, SLN's songs have obviously turned victims in the battle.
It's now evident that SLN's songs may not help to that extent for the film's success. The film's success entirely depends upon its content.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi under Dil Raju and Anil Ravipudi's production, SLN is gearing up for release on January 11.
