Actor turned producer Bandla Ganesh was remanded for 14 days in a cheque bounce case as he could not repay his debt borrowed from a financier named Mahesh in Kadapa. Yesterday, he was arrested by Banjarahills Police in Hyderabad and taken to Kadapa in a private vehicle by the police to produce before the Magistrate.

As per reports, Ganesh cheated financer Mahesh to the tune of Rs 13 Crores in 2011. Ganesh gave a cheque to Mahesh in 2013, which was dishonored by the bank following which the latter filed a complaint against him.

As Ganesh failed to appear before the court in Kadapa, the court issued a non-bailable warrant against him and directed the Banjara Hills to arrest him. The Kadapa police on a PT warrant took Ganesh from Hyderabad to Kadapa. He then was produced in the court, which sent him to jail till November 4th.

Bandla Ganesh is also accused of cheating another financier and producer, Potluri Vara Prasad. Ganesh had reportedly borrowed Rs 34 crore from PVP to make Temper, which released in 2015. Though he paid the actual amount, he has been accused of not paying the interest amount.

PVP recently filed a case against him in Jubilee Hills police station when Ganesh sent his men to allegedly intimidate PVP from pursuing the cheating case against him, for which Ganesh filed a counter-complaint with the Banjara Hills police alleging that PVP had threatened of abducting him.

Earlier too, the writer of Temper had accused Ganesh of cheating him by not paying his remuneration of Rs 26 lakhs. In this case, too, Ganesh gave a dishonored cheque to the writer.
