Irrespective of Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy performance at the box office in other languages, the film showed Mega Star's power at the box office by crossing Rs 100 crs share in Telugu and once broke the non-Baahubali records.
Had the film became a universal hit, it would have become no 1 or 2 but missed that great opportunity. It is a great achievement that Chiranjeevi is breaking records and creating sensations even after he returned the following 8 years-long break. But if one thinks whether his contemporaries like Venkatesh, Balakrishna and Nagarjuna can enter into Rs 100 crores club, then it is near impossible.
Balakrishna's market is still hovering around Rs 50crs and his films with great difficulty touch Rs 50crs. Now the buyers are considering risky to invest in Balakrishna's films following the disaster of NTR biopic.
The less we talk of Nagarjuna the more better it is. His reputation got destroyed with films like Officer and Manmadhudu 2. Of all of them, Venkatesh is far better. He showed his power once again with F2. Though the film did not cross Rs 100crs, he showed that if the film has strong content, he has the power to power the film.
This shows that only young stars like Ram Charan, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and NTR can reach the benchmark set by Mega Star Chiranjeevi but for senior stars, it is near impossible.
