Mega Star Chiranjeevi's latest release Sye Raa arasimha Reddy directed by Surender Reddy got rave reviews not only from the mega fans but also from the movie lovers and analysts alike. People hailed Chiranjeevi's performance in the role of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and critics termed it as his career best.

The film's Telugu version is doing well in overseas and in two Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Despite all this, people are scared that Sye Raa is going off the success track.

It is a known fact that irrespective of the stature of the film, more than the collections it got, all eyes are on whether the film enters breakeven or not. Trade analysts are now keeping their fingers crossed and are wondering whether Sye Raa will reach the breakeven mark.

Sye Raa is a big budget film and the makers increased the budget enormously. But many are of the opinion that the Sye Raa team's calculations on the recovery went wrong.

They expected to reap rich dividends by releasing the film on Oct 2nd. This because Oct 2nd is being a public holiday and start of the Dasara season. Apart from it, the makers felt that by releasing the film on Tuesday in overseas, they can get good collections through ticket offers. However the collections are getting dropped with each passing day and the performance of Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam versions are disappointing.

Even the collections in the Telugu states dropped from the second and the third day after record openings on the first day. Many felt that this drop was natural as they are working days. But contrary to the expectations that collections will pickup in the weekend from Saturday, the figures show different picture.

Some say foot falls decreased as the ticket rates are fixed at Rs 150 and Rs 300 depending on the areas. Now only three more days are there for the festival. Sye Raa recovered only 50% and it has to recover another half. It is fine if collections improve in coming days but if the drop continues it will be daunting task for Sye Raa to reach the breakeven.
