Even as Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh continues to ring up big numbers at the box office, the film has earned ire for the misogyny of its central character. The debate intensified after the director defended his film and the actions of its hero.

Feminists slammed Sandeep for letting the hero go unpunished after slapping his obedient girlfriend in one scene, belittling a character by calling her fat, and threatening a woman at knifepoint to have sex with him.

Actress Samantha and singer-cum-dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada lashed out at Sandeep Vanga for his distasteful comments on love. Netizens flocked to their social media profiles and called them biased.

Netizens trolled Chinmayi mercilessly by posting videos of her husband Rahul Ravindran slapping his heroines in few films.

Curiously, Rahul Ravindran will be releasing a special teaser of his second directorial Manmadhudu 2 in just few minutes to introduce the film’s lead actress Rakul Preet Singh who will be seen in a boldest role. It is learnt that, Rakul as Avantika will be seen smoking in the teaser. Earlier, Samantha's mama Nagarjuna was shown as a casanova in a teaser.

It surely will become a topic of debate between Sandeep Vanga fans and feminists. Certainly, those who are supporting Sandeep will not leave Chinmayi and other feminists over the scene of ‘Rakul smoking’. It will be interesting to see what the feminists say about this scene.
