Mallesham is the story of an extraordinary journey of a common man who made the lives of weavers easy. It’s an honest movie with some terrific performances and great nativity. Priyadarshi who earlier impressed as a comedian has proved with Mallesham that he can fit into any given role.

Critics, including Bollywood media, unanimously appreciated the film as a rare gem. Unfortunately, Mallesham is not up to the mark at box office. Trade pundits predicted the film directed by Raj Rachakonda to do decent business at ticket window. But, the film is turning out to be a commercial failure.

What went wrong then? Except for few Tollywood celebrities, most of them didn’t utter a word about Mallesham. Especially, no star hero watched the film which is the biopic of Chintakindi Mallesham who won Padma Shri Award for his invention of the popular Asu Machine.

Forget about Tollywood stars, even Telangana Government didn’t bother to promote the film which glorified the culture of the state, besides narrating the story of a real hero who is an inspiration for generations. It’s indeed government’s responsibility to encourage such films.

TRS Working President KTR who endorses Handloom Clothes too has deserted Mallesham post its release. Many opine that, he should at least have asked people of both the Telugu states to watch the film through Twitter or other social media platforms.

If Governments won’t support such films, filmmakers will fear to make experiments!
