Till sometime back there used to be tremendous competition to acquire 'All Nines' (9999) for new vehicles among people. During that time, RTO fixed a minimum price of RS 50000 and auction it owing to the intense competition. Sometimes more than 10 people used to compete to acquire the All nine numbers to which they are sentimentally attached by spending a whopping Rs 10 lakhs.

In the last five years, except on one or two occasions, people spent around 8-10 lakhs to acquire the number 9 series. Top politicians, industrialists, film stars and companies competed to get all nines for their luxury cars.

Even Young Tiger Ntr spent a whopping Rs 10.50 lakhs to get all nines number for his luxury vehicle. His vehicle was registered as TS 09 EL 9999. However, for the first time, it came as a shock as the recent big stopped at just Rs 1.07 lakhs. Some suspects whether vehicle owners formed a syndicate and quoted less price.
