Das Performing Better To NGK

Falaknuma Das is a debut film as a director for Vishwak Sen, who was one of the lead actors in Tharun Bhascker’s Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi. The film is official remake of Angamaly Diaries, a hit Malayalam movie.

Vishwak Sen used the Hyderabad dialect for the native flavor. Apparently, this factor worked in favor of the film which is doing decent business in Nizam area. Falaknuma Das collected Rs 10 lakhs through premieres, 65 lakhs on day one and 48 lakhs on day two in Nizam.

However, the film has got lukewarm response in Andhra Pradesh. Trade analysts say that, Falaknuma Das may end as a flop maker for buyers in AP. It needs to do steady business in Nizam for few more days to recover full investment. The film’s collections are below par in overseas as well.

But, interestingly, Falaknuma Das is performing far better to Suriya’s NGK which is likely to end as a disaster.
