Will Maharshi Reach At Least That Mark?

Super Star Mahesh Babu’s silver jubilee film Maharshi has entered into fourth week. However, the Vamshi Paidipally directorial is yet to reach breakeven mark in few centers and one amongst them is USA, a strong forte of Mahesh Babu who has numerous million dollar grossing films in the territory.

Given that, the film was released in record number of theaters in USA with heavy premiere shows, trade pundits predicted, Maharshi would easily gross around $2 Million mark through premiere show collections itself.

But, the fact is Maharshi is yet to reach the $2 Million mark in its three weeks run in the territory. It seems the film may not enter the 2 million dollar mark, owing to below par numbers it is registering from last few days.

So Far, Maharshi has grossed $1.877 Million in USA. The film actually needed to collect over $ 3.5 Million to become a safe venture for overseas distributor. However, it seems, the overseas distributor will incur huge losses due to the film’s poor performance in the region.

On the other hand, Maharshi has slowed down completely in Telugu states and other areas as well. Although, the makers are coming up with “Epic Blockbuster” posters with record collections, the reality is completely different from it.
