Sye Raa: Chiru Has No Problem With That

Mega Star Chiranjeevi is renowned for his judgment skills. More often than not, his judgment about stories turns out to be true. When Chiranjeevi selected a Tamil hit Katti and decided to remake this film for his milestone 150th film on return, many criticized him and attacked him for depending on Tamil remakes rather than trusting the talent of the Telugu directors.

But, Chiru was proved right when Khaidi No 150 turned out to be a sensation. Even when his stardom was at the top in the 1990s, Chiranjeevi agreed for a scene in Gharana Mogudu where Nagma gives him a tight slap. When Raghavendra Rao was in a dilemma whether to include the scene, Chiranjeevi insisted on having the scene. Though fans turned furious, Chiru's judgment turned out to be true as it turned out to be the highlight in the film.

Now inside talk is Chiranjeevi shocked Sye Raa makers. It is known that Chiranjeevi is playing the role of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in Sye Raa under the direction of Surender Reddy.

Talented Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi is playing the role of Narasimha Reddy's trusted aide. His role duration increased and after watching the output the makers felt at times his role dominated Chiranjeevi. They decided to do away those scenes and suggested the same to Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi however shocked them all by turning their proposal outright. He told them that those scenes with Vijay Sethupathi will be the highlight and connect chords with the Telugu and Tamil movie lovers. Even during Khaidi No 150, ahead of its release, when Pruthvi lamented that his scenes were deleted, Chiranjeevi insisted on the makers including the scenes though they were not required. Those scenes however did not become minus for Khaidi No 150.
