Telugu Heroes, Not The Real Superstars

People of South go by sentiments and they generally get carried away by emotions. They worship film stars as demi gods and even go to the extent of giving their lives for them. Even Bollywood stars are surprised by their fan following.
But many are often left wondering whether Tollywood heroes are real superstars. When natural calamities strike, be it in the case of Diviseema cyclone or the subsequent calamities, stars like NTR, ANR, Mohan Babu etc went into the public begged for alms, organized cricket matches, events like Memu Saitham, Dine with stars and raised money from the public and handed over the same in form of cheque or cash to the respective CMs of the states.
This showed that instead of helping generously from their hard earned money, they instead collected from the public and posed as if they are helping the poor and needy. None can forget the allegations when Chiranjeevi started Chiranjeevi Blood Bank. Many allegations came out that Chiranjeevi started collecting blood from the donors for free and selling the same for money.
In the recent past Chiranjeevi came with a message oriented film Khaidi No 150, a remake of Tamil hit Kaththi which touched on the issues of farmers. Similarly Mahesh Babu came with message oriented films like Maharshi, Srimantudu and Bharat Ane Nenu. Fans of Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu are hailing their heroes as the one who brought remarkable change in the society just by touching on the issue. True that Mahesh Babu adopted Siddapuram and Burripalem villages and is working for the overall development but much more could be done.
However right thinking people say, Tollywood stars cannot pose as real super stars in real life. People say they should take cue from their counterparts in Kollywood and Bollywood. Craze for Kollywood stars be it MGR, Rajinikanth, Jayalalithaa, Kamal Haasan, Vishaal is abundant because they covertly and overtly do many social activities. Almost all stars in Tamil Nadu encourage students till their PGs providing them scholarships. Apart from it they help poor and needy in various manners. While Raghava Larence is surprising all with his activities through his trust, Vishal is helping farmers not only by donating one rupee from each of the ticket from his films but also in various other means.
Same is the case with Bollywood stars. One cannot forget Big B Amitabh Bachchan who repaid the debts of many farmers. Salman Khan is often branded as the spoilt brat in the industry. But through his trust Being Human, he is undertaking various social service activities. Same is the case with Akshay kumar who is helping the soldiers and the farmers and Vivek Oberoi who has adopted many villages and is developing them not for promoting their films but in a genuine manner.
Same is the case with Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and others who are working relentlessly for the cause of the farmers and other social issues. Nana Patekar, John Abraham and Shah Rukh Khan too are not lagging behind.
