Prince Mahesh Babu's Maharshi did a fabulous business in its first weekend's run. The film collected a whopping share Rs.48 crores in Telugu states by Sunday. However, a sudden dip of collections was noticed on the first Monday, the day five of the film. 

Maharshi collected Rs.56 lakhs share on day four in Guntur. But then, the share was just confined to Rs.22 lakhs on day five. The film collected Rs.45 lakhs in East Godavari and Rs.27 lakhs in Nellore on day four. On the day five, the movie accumulated Rs.27 lakhs in EG and Rs.15 lakhs in Nellore indicating the sudden dip of collections.

Bharat Ane Nenu, however, had done far better business than Maharshi on the first Monday. BAN minted Rs.17 lakhs, Rs.46 lakhs and Rs.38 lakhs in Nellore, Guntur and East Godavari on the first Monday. 

Industry hit Rangasthalam, on the other hand, had done an astronomical business on the first Monday. The film raked in Rs.50 lakhs in East Godavari and Rs.40 lakhs in Guntur on the first Monday. 

It's learnt that Mahesh Babu has cancelled his foreign trip sensing the threat of fall of collections. His aggressive promotional campaign is hoped to get the film reached break even at the earliest.
