However of late with the success of films with failure stories, many are left pondering whether the tastes of the movie lovers are getting changed.
In a week’s span two films- Naga Chaitanya’s Majili and Sai Dharam Tej’s Chitralahari are doing good business at the box office. Both Naga Chaitanya and Sai Dharam Tej tasted failures ahead of these releases and they experienced tense moments ahead of the release. They changed their style, look and body language for their roles in the films. What is common in both the films is the heroes come from a middle class background and both fail in their life due to various reasons.
In Majili, hero suffering a breakup, loses focus from his aim to become a cricketer and instead becomes a drunkard. In Chitralahari, hero, an engineer fails at various points and becomes a drunkard.
Now Jersey too is coming up with similar storyline of a middle aged person working hard to gain entry into the Indian cricket team. At one point, he ends up as a failure in his mission and gets caught stealing from his wife’s purse. People are surprised at the failures similarities in all these stories.
