Babu, Lakshmi Are Heroes, Not NTR

Tollywood witnessed two biographical films on legendary actor-politician Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. While Balakrishna and Krish duo made NTR Biopic in two parts as NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu which ends with NTR retaining CM post and Basavatarakam’s death, Ram Gopal Varma’s Lakshmi’s NTR begins with Lakshmi Pravathi entering NTR’s life and ends with NTR’s death.

As is known, Balakrishna’s version of NTR Biopic ended as an epic disaster, wherein RGV’s version is turning out to be a smashing hit with exceptional response from everywhere though it isn’t released in Andhra Pradesh.

Usually, filmmakers highlight protagonist’s character in biopics, though they show ups and downs of the legendary personality. However, makers of Kathanayakudu, Mahanayakudu and Lakshmi’s NTR have elevated other characters, other than NTR’s.

While Chandra Babu Naidu is shown as moral fiber of NTR, Lakshmi Parvathi’s character has been shown as most positive person in Lakshmi’s NTR. In Mahanayakudu, we had seen domination of CBN played by Rana, wherein CBN is shown in negative manner in Lakshmi’s NTR.

We won’t find Lakshmi Parvathi character in NTR Biopic of Balakrishna, whereas she is shown as goddess figure to NTR in Lakshmi’s NTR. So, Babu and Lakshmi Parvathi are the heroes in RGV and Balayya version of NTR biopic respectively, but not NTR!
