RRR: Rajamouli To Set Another Benchmark

There are 34 Industry hits in Tollywood, starting from Bhaktha Prahlada (1932) to Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017). Post Baahubali’s box office sensation, a term non-Baahubali hit was introduced. Since no film could cross Baahubali full run collections, they have been using the term non-Baahubali to let movie buffs see their film as second biggest hit, next to Baahubali series.

Srimanthudu, Khaidi No 150 and Rangasthalam created non-Baahubali records. But, no film could go close to lifetime collections of the SS Rajamouli directorial. Trade pundits opine that, nobody else, but Rajamouli can only break his own records. But, the question is will his next outing Rrr achieve the mark or end as non-Baahubali hit.

Rrr features two Telugu super stars NTR and Ram Charn in lead roles. For North market, Rajamouli roped in Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. Few popular actors across the nation are also part of the project.

Though the story is about two Telugu great people, entire nation is awaiting the film’s release as Rajamouli is no less than any super star of Indian cinema. Producer DVV Danayya refused 100 cr deal to give away the project which shows craze and demand for the project which is sure to do 1000 cr pre-release business.

Like in Baahubali series, Rrr will also have high breathtaking action episodes and eye feasting visuals. Given that, Rajamouli takes utmost care on scripting and direction, Rrr will most probably break Baahubali records. If that happens, we wouldn’t be listening to the term non-Baahubali records again.
