Balakrishna Bumper Offer Unconvincing

A biopic on legendary female actor Savitri titled Mahanati directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Keerthy Suresh charmed Telugu and Tamil movie buffs. During making of this film, NTR biopic with Balakrishna reprising his father’s role was announced.

Analysts predicted this film of Tollywood’s first mass hero would shatter all box office records. And when Krish replaced Teja as director, the prospects were only multiplied. Nandamuri fans were thrilled after director Krish announced to make the film in two parts as NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu covering NTR’s film and political careers.

Given that film carried positive buzz in film circles, distributors invested fancy amounts on NTR Kathanayakudu which received enthusiastic reports post release from critics. To everyone’s surprise, Kathanayakudu underperformed at box office leaving buyers in shivers.

As per a known, Balakrishna to compensate Kathanayakudu losses is offering Mahanayakudu theatrical rights to same buyers at moderate prices. Still, buyers are unconvinced and are apprehensive on how second part of a film would do well at box office, when first part ends as a disaster.

Analysts opine that Mahanayakudu may not get even decent openings with effect of Kathanayakudu. The second installment of NTR biopic may witness growth in collections, only if it receives positive talk from all quarters.

Balakrishna and Krish are personally looking after post-production works of Mahanayakudu to make sure that, this film will please movie buffs and fans. The film will be releasing on 14th of February.
