Shriya Saran In Baahubali

Online streaming giant Netflix is coming up with a three season web-series, Shivagami, a prequel to the story of Baahubali. The series based on the book The Rise of Sivagami will explore characters such as Kattappa and Sivagami and their history. It will be co-directed by Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru.

The series will be made on a lavish budget of 2 million dollars per episode. Mrunal Thakur is playing the role of Sivagami. Latest update is that, Shriya Saran will be doing a crucial role, though details about the role are kept under wraps for now. It is also heard that, Shriya is paid huge amount as remuneration for Baahubali prequel.

Initially, producers asked Rajamouli to direct one of the episodes of Baahubali prequel. But, the director who is busy with his next venture RRR starring Ram Charan and NTR has refused the proposal.

It is known that, the historical fiction novel The Rise of Sivagami, written by Anand Neelakantan was release before Baahubali: The Conclusion. It was released in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions.
