Megastar Chiranjeevi has been continuing prolonged dormancy in politics for a long time. While political analysts felt Chiranjeevi unofficially retired from the politics, others opined that Megastar had deserted the Congress party in which he merged his PRP long ago.

Right now, Chiranjeevi is doing nonstop prestigious projects in Tollywood. His comeback film Khaidi Number 150 scored an industry hit while his Sye Raa Narasimhareddy is being made as the next magnum opus of Tollywood. Also, Chiranjeevi and Koratala Siva's combo film is creating ripples among film circles even before its launch.

At this juncture, pro TDP media has a sweet dream on Megastar's politics. Now that TDP joined hands with the Congress party and formed a grand alliance in Telangana, TDP media is hoping that the Congress party's leaders Chiranjeevi, Vijayashanthi and TDP's leader Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna would be campaigning for the victory of Mahakootami for upcoming general elections in Telangana.

"Chiranjeevi's campaigning remains to be a dream for the pro TDP's yellow media. The other day, when AICC president Rahul Gandhi visited and stayed in Hyderabad for two days, Chiranjeevi didn't meet the former for even courtesy sake and which implies his clear stand on politics and the Congress party," says an analyst.
