Since Swamy Paripoornananda and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) are expected to make a huge agitation against Kathi, the police expelled Kathi to restore peace in Hyderabad. Police, as of now, booked three complaints against Kathi for his derogatory comments.

In the meanwhile, the Telangana police also issued a show cause notice to the TV channel which intentionally telecast the controversial debate with Kathi and provoked him to use abusive words on Hindu gods. It is still uncertain whether Kathi's expulsion gets confined to six months or would it be extended to lifetime.
