Kaala Breaches a Milestone

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's Kaala opened with mixed reports in the US and accumulated below par collections until Thursday. As we reported earlier, the film collected $764K in the US.

As per trade reports, Kaala collected $273K from 281 locations on Friday and successfully breached the milestone $1M. The film is said to have done a decent business on Friday. 

Kaala, however, is receiving lukewarm response in Telugu states. On the day one of its release the movie collected Rs.3.24 crores. The dip in collections was recorded on day two. 

Kaala was directed by Pa Ranjith on hero Dhanush's Wunderbar studios. Santhosh Narayanan has composed tunes. The movie has Huma Qureshi and Eeshawari Rao in female lead roles while Nana Patekar is seen as an antagonist.
