Venkatesh Behind T-State Formation

People of Andhra Pradesh can never forget the fight for the separate state for Telangana. Though people of Telangana aspired for a separate state, their fight was never taken seriously as many politicians sold the interests of the state for their lust for power. 

But TRS chief KCR shed away all those accusations and intensified the fight taking it to a logical conculsion forcing the centre to act despite not having majority in the state assembly. Now KCR's daughter Kavitha speaking to scribes revealed what inspired the fight for separate Telangana. 

She said at interview to a channel as Telangana Jagruti president was a coincidence. She said during that time a Venkatesh's film had a character named 'Kokapeta Pinni' and insulted Telangana accent in the name of comedy. To add insult to the injury Jhansi who played the role was awarded Nandi award. 

Members of Telangana Jagruti protested infront of the Nandi awards felicitation dias. During that time police not only lathi charged but dragged all of us. During that time when I was in sad and furious state, a TV channel called for interview and rest is history. That was the first protest and at that time our organisation was not even registered. This insult on and off the reel life intensified into Telangana movement.
