Sasikala, Clever Politics!

Inevitable for VK Sasikala now to escape from corruption charges as the apex court found her guilty and punished with four year imprisonment. After the demise of Jayalalitha, future of AIADMK was completely centered on Sasikala and she even thought of becoming the Chief Minister with all support from party MLAs. But the sudden betrayal by O Panneerselvam followed by a row of unexpected events is forcing Sasikala to select one more loyal leader within the party. Reports say, Edappadi K Palanisamy is almost confirmed as next Tamil Nadu CM at secret meetings happening in Golden Bay Resorts, Kovathoor in Chennai outskirts.

Though Jayalalitha’s nephew Deepak Jayakumar and Sengottian are also listed in probable list, Palanisamy had a clear edge.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu DGP is completing the official procedure to take Sasikala into custody by today evening. ‘Whenever Amma was in crisis, I also suffered. This time, I will take it upon me. Justice will prevail,’ quoted by Sasikala on Party twitter page. 

At a time everyone is trying to split AIADMK for political gains, although imminent for Sasikala to undergo punishment, she is checking all possible alternatives to keep the party undivided and stay in rule till next elections. That’s the real quality of a leader and Sasikala is playing clever politics.
