Only Money - No Effort

‘Thikka’ never sensed like a film made with positive and hit intentions. The team appeared to be lavish at spending as debutant producer C Rohin Kumar Reddy thrown away money like water. Director Suneel Reddy explained earlier on preparing the script with a perfect plan everything kept on paper for which he took six months. Rather the effort was completely missed in bringing the same presentation on screen.

‘Sai Dharam’s market potential is lying somewhere close to 20 or 23 Crores after ‘Supreme.’ How did they invest as much as Rs. 20+ Crores on a subject like ‘Thikka’ which had confusing narration and consistent failure in tickling the fun bone? One can clearly see overspending on each scene, irrelevant of its importance. Looks like, there is a clear mismanagement of financial muscle and someone has to take the blame,’ a senior analyst commented.

Despite the presence of senior and talented artist like Rajendra Prasad and reliable comedians like Sapthagiri, Thaguothu Ramesh, Sathya; never Suneel Reddy explored the options of using them. In the past, Suneel Reddy faced harsh criticism for over-budgeted ‘Om 3D’ and now he repeated it for ‘Thikka.’ One cannot find any strong reason behind Sai Dharam, Rajendra Prasad, Ali and many artists accepting ‘Thikka’ script except for fancy remuneration.
