Nandamuri Balakrishna’s prestigious 100th film ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ is establishing new records in pre release business. There is an unprecedented demand for domestic theatrical rights but director Krish and producer Rajeev Reddy are yet to open the doors inviting bids. Official sources from GPS have denied the spread out rumors on East Godavari and West Godavari theatrical business closed.
However, overseas traders have informed us on bagging non-India (complete Overseas including North America and Rest of World) ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni’ distribution rights for whopping Rs.4.8 Crores and have already paid advances up to Rs. 2 Crores signing the fancy deal. These Overseas distributors have also sold non-USA rights to subsidiary agency pocketing the bulk advances.
Bottom line is quite simple. Balakrishna has finally found a new ground in overseas markets with this 100th project. Brand Krish, the historical subject and early promotions are helping GPS to build a decent pre release buzz. The magnum opus is set for next year Pongal release.
