MAA TV officially bagged the ‘Bahubali’ Telugu version satellite rights paying a bomb of above Rs.20 Crores, a deal which can be reckoned as milestone in Indian small screen network. In fact, ‘Bahubali’ broke every possible record with theatrical screening and now, the platform is well set to repeat the same even on TV channels with ‘Bahubali’ Malayalam version to become the first to have a telecast on October 4 to be followed by Telugu version coming as Dasara special on October 25 at 6.00 PM.
Recovering 20 Crores just from Telugu version is not going to be too easy for MAA network despite there are random reports on channel management fixed Rs.2.5 Lakhs price for 10 seconds commercial promotional slot. As this is first time ‘Bahubali’ is screened as premiere on TV, the rates are justified.
For ‘Bahubali’ repeat screenings, the price may fall down by manifolds. So, MAA TV management has to go for innumerable screenings of ‘Bhaubali’ to recover their investment. Amidst tight competition to bag the satellite rights of super hit films, MAA TV took ‘Bahubali’ prestigiously and succeeded. Let us see, how many times they will screen the film within this year?
