Ram Charan All Praises for 'Kotha Janta'

Sekhar Kammula's new movie 'Anamika's first reel which is havign the length of 12 minutes was telecasted &nbsp;on the night of 30th April in TV 9, &nbsp;just a day before its release into the theaters. This daring act of the director is definitely justified. This first reel has generated great interest watching this movie in theaters. At the beginning a bomb blast is shown wherein a child also dies apart from some people. In the subsequent scenes, Nayantara's entry into a police station and her complaint for the missing of her software husband was shown. Hearing the words of the police about this kind of missing cases, she gets fainted. Her performance was terrific in these scenes. Direction and cinematography were at their best. 'Anamika' appears to rock in theaters.

He chose a simple point and narrated it in an interesting manner.Though the narration is predictable with three youngsters roaming listlessly before realizing their mistake and changing accordingly, the Deccani accent and the Old City vibes added value to it. What surprises all is that the director did not include a female lead in the film. He showed the female character as the sister to the three main characters.The dialogues are entertaining and natural, and none of them look forced and out of sync. The interval bang is done well turning the first half into a decent one. The second half continues in the same manner, and the screenplay and narration goes in a smooth and sedate manner.However for all the positives, the director after highlighting the conflict point and establishing it quite well, ends the film in a flat manner, disappointing all.The cinematography of SVK showed the Hyderabad old city vibes in a natural and realistic way. He used the camera angles to perfection and showed the nightlife and also the day hustles quite well and in an effective manner.The background score of Smaran Sai is good and complemented the proceedings, adding value to the narration. He came up with foot-tapping songs highlighting the old city culture and Deccani flavor. The editing of Rohit Penumasta is ok but could have been better, as there are a few drags that slowed the pace of the narration. She elevated the scenes with her screen presence. Kasturi Raja impressed especially in the climax. Krish Dhayal who played the role of police officer did well. He came up with a simple story and blended it with action and romantic elements. Many expects Lokesh Kanagaraj to debut with an action entertainer. But the story had completely different blend of police atrocities and a commoner's fight against them. Arun Matheswaran did not deviate from the subject and even drag the romantic and love tracks with unnecessary lip locks, hugs and songs.Though even few romantic scenes slowed the pace of the film, he ensured that he quicky shifted to action genre to keep viewers interest glued. The first half ends on a decent note with the cat and mouse game between the cops and the rebels. The second half continues in the same way with the introduction of new characters and the pre climax connects chords with all with the film finally ending on a predictable note. The predictability in the story, illogical scenes and few boring elements undid all the hard work.The cinematography of Mukesh is good. He showed the period look in the story in a appealing and relatable manner. Anirudh Ravichander's tunes for the songs are just ok. The songs had a montage touch. But he elevated the scenes with his unique and terrific background score. He showed variety in the background music. He showed his creativity by scoring background in a poetic manner. Prasanna. GK's editing is quite fine but at times there are few repetitive elements. A little finetuning of the script and racy screenplay with interesting twists and turns would have added power to the narration. He came up with a hilarious horror thriller to entertain movie lovers. He starts the narration in a stylish manner in Korea before moving to Penugonda . After the introduction of protagonist in a typical mass way &nbsp;he shows the heroine. The narration treads in a familiar trope and screenplay assumes a routine flavor. To the top of it, the over usage of Korean language puts off the viewers. The interval sequence and the possession of the spirit excites all, setting the tone for the second half.The second half's gangster role is dragged to the core. While few comedy scenes involving Varun Tej and Satya evoked laughter, others looked forced. The climax takes everyone by surprise and though looked different didn't leave the desired impact. The story ends in a funny way with the lead to the sequel.Thaman's music offered nothing new. The songs are few and didn't make much impact. Thaman's background music followed the same template. He however with the background music elevated the scenes. Manojh Reddy with his Cinematography showed the scenes in a realistic way. CGI and VFX looked subpar. Editing of Satya G left a lot to be desired. Dialogues are ok and couple of them are hilarious. The series comes with 7 episodes and each episode has the duration of 25-35 minutes. Many gripping courtroom dramas like Amitabh Bachchan's Pink and its remake Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab came. He drew inspiration from them and tried to tell them in a realistic way.The narration starts in an interesting manner and the director does well balancing both sides of the views. The first three episodes keep the interest levels intact, but when one expects it to reach the next level with intense courtroom arguments, the director loses steam.From then on everything turns repetitive, testing the patience of the viewers. The slow pace of the narration ends up irritating the people. Dialogues turnout to be pretty ordinary. The expected emotions and drama in the courtroom arguments goes missing completely. Even the character arcs are not created properly after the initial introduction. The series and the narration lacked the required twists and turns.The first four episodes are predictable and offer no real twists. The fifth episode had a small twist but it did not excite anyone. The entry of Sameera only generates little interest. Many characters and their relations are not established properly and also there are many illogical scenes and convenient episodes.The background score of Anil Chiluvuru is good. However the cinematography of Suryaa and editing of Kishore turned out to be below average. He starts the narration revealing the importance of Kaamakhya Sakthi Peetham in Guwahati but the introduction of other characters slowed the pace of the film.The narration picks of pace in a slow and steady manner and it reaches peaks once the characters of Abhirami and others are introduced. But once again the Samuthirakhani character puts off all initially with the weak role. The second half screenplay turns out to be racy and director decided to concentrate on main plot rather than spend time on unnecessary comedy scenes. The twists and the climax take the film to the next level.Kushender Ramesh Reddy with his cinematography added value to the narration. He with his camera angles got the desired impact on the screen. Gyaani's background music elevated the scenes and ensured the narration sails smoothly maintaining the same tempo. The editing of Sree Varaprasad is ok but could have been better as there are many scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. However, the deviations in the start, slow pace in the narration and repetitive scenes undid all his good intentions. Rework on the script, a racy screenplay and few more twists and turns and doing away with mundane elements would have added value to the final outcome.
