Senior director Thammareddy Bharadwaj has created a rare feat with his latest directorial venture 'Pratighatana'. According to the trade reports, the movie earned Rs.700 to Rs.1000 per show on the first day of its release. that means hardly 15 to 20 audiences had watched this film. Obviously this is said to be the biggest record for tollywood recent times. According to the sources, this could be the lowest earning T-town flick for a long while.

When an English newspaper approached the director seeking his opinion about this rare record, he simply blamed the audiences for not encouraging women oriented films. He said people are stuck on humour and horror movies. But then, critics have different views on this film. According to them, low production values, poor screen play, awkward political satires on reputed politicians have made the movie achieving this remarkable feat.
