While plenty in industry circles speak on Theatre Mafia or 'Aa Naluguru' dominating the production, distribution and exhibition business of Tollywood, none has done any solid research to combat them. Finally, some media agencies have come out openly with firm numbers to show how small and medium budgeted flicks which have almost completed their shootings and post production works are mugging in boxes due to atrocious approach of Theatre Mafia.

Out of 1672 theatres operated in Andhra Pradesh, nearly 1200 are in the hands of only four to five big heads who always release big movies on their own or lease them at very high rents. Of the remaining 400 odd screens, they cash upon seasonal advantage. As next two months is going to be a festival for movie lovers with big films of 'Baadshah, Greeku Veerudu, Balupu, Shadow, Iddaru Ammayilatho' to hit the screens, there are movies ike 'Sukumardu, Vasool Raja, Jai Sreeram, Class Abbayi Mass Ammayi, April Fool, Vijetha, Love Cycle etc' unable to get minimum number of theatres to have a safe release.

Meanwhile, some medium films of 'Rye Rye, 3G Love, Backbench Student etc' are releasing in next few days before the big tickets strike market from April first week to cash on summer season.
