'Mirchi' Luckier Than 'Naayak'

Inspite of good ratings and positive buzz everywhere in overseas market, 'Naayak' of Ramcharan scored just average at BO. Alone in USA, the movie is just going to end up near to Rs.2.8 Crores in its total run. This is not an impressive mark for Cherry who has been on a success spree with 'Rachcha.' However, the exact reason for 'Naayak' falling short of expected revenues is due to the effect of 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' which has almost touched Rs.8.8 Crores by the last weekend.

In the mean time, Prabhas starring 'Mirchi' released last week has grossed Rs.2.6 Crores in USA which is approximately equal to the total of 'Naayak.' Has Prabhas outsmarted Cherry in overseas? Analysts opine that, if 'Naayak' has become the scapegoat before Mahesh Babu's Mania of 'SVSC,' luckily Prabhas escaped the same. By the time 'Mirchi' has hit the screens, businesses of both 'Naayak' and 'SVSC' are in the closing chapters.
