Athadu: Big Hit in TV, Hit in Silver Screen

Prince Mahesh Babu's 'Athadu' movie was released on 10th August, 2005 and completed seven years of its release on 10th August, 2012. We can notice an interesting contradiction about this movie's position in silver screen and the small screen. The time when the movie was released in the year, 2005, Mahesh had not that much craze as he is enjoying it right now. Moreover, the producer of this movie Murali Mohan's poor promotion strategies of the movie made it to be halted at just 'hit' range at the box office but not a blockbuster. Strangely, the movie had got losses in some of the areas like Vizag. In fact, the movie was filled with wonderful melodious songs, hilarious entertaining scenes and a good action. Trivikram proved he was at his best in directing this movie.

Later, the movie buffs realized how good of the movie watching it in television channels. Soon after, it turned to be become a slow poison and everybody started getting addicted to watch the movie repeatedly in television. Perhaps, 'Athadu' was the only movie to get telecasted in more number of times in television. In that sense, it can be regarded as a blockbuster in small screen. 'A right movie should be promoted in a right way' is the lesson can be learnt from this movie by the film makers.
