Former minister Dr P Shankar Rao on Monday hinted that the YSR Congress party would win the Kovvur assembly seat where polling was held on Sunday.
Although Dr Shankar Rao did not name the YSR Congress party, but said that the party 'having a Congress name' would win the Kovvur seat. However, he restrained from predicting the results in other seats in the Telangana region.
The former minister also welcomed the nomination of K Chiranjeevi, Renuka Chowdhary, P Govardhan Reddy and R Anand Bhaskar for the Rajya Sabha seats. He said that their nomination would send a good message within the party and senior leaders would feel ensured that their services would be recognised and awarded. He said the party would win the general elections in 2014 if it continues to respect the senior leaders in the party.
Dr Shankar Rao said that the party might utilise the services of K Keshava Rao, who did not get re-nomination for Rajya Sabha, at an appropriate time.

This time, Mathimaran elevated the emotions in a more powerful manner.The story turns out to be predictable except for the boat racing episodes. Everything looked routine and the conflict point is not established in a convincing and more powerful way. Drama also did not work and most of the scenes paled on the screen. Even the romantic track did not appeal to all. He left many unanswered questions in the film.GV. Prakash Kumar's music is ok. His background score is good. He elevated the scenes, especially in the boat races with his background music. SR. Kathir's cinematography is good. He showed the rustic village atmosphere quite well on the screen. He also showed the boat races sequences in an effective way. Pradeep Raghav's editing could have been better as there are few scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. Dialogues are ok. This turned the spy drama and serious scenes into laughable ones.Things doesn't change even when the director tried to connect chords with the viewers with emotional scenes and the flashback episodes. All the interesting elements in The entire first half failed in the execution and everything turned bland.Many expected the second half to be better and save the day. However much to the disappointment , it turned even worse. The unraveling of the twists in the complex mission looked illogical and are bereft of interesting twists and thrills.The pre climax and climax are stretched to the maximum and it became a painful watch on the screen. There are many unnecessary characters and the flat narration and uninspiring execution played the spoil sport. The flashback episodes undoes all the good intentions. Geetu Mohan Das tried to attract viewers with brother sister relationship, father -son sentiment and many romantic elements but everything looks disjointed and ended up testing the patience of all and irritating them.Even when people wait patiently praying for the end, they will get another shock in the pre climax and climax with psychological elements. The story has many threads but none of them are answered in a convincing manner and few of them despite the lengthy runtime left unanswered and the screenplay turned ridiculous to the core. The direction turned out to be a huge disappointment. The script turned out to be lackluster. Dialogues are just ok and dubbing made the matters worse.Geetu Mohan Das completely failed to do justice to the stardom of Yash and his character turned listless and aimless on the screen. When the main character itself turned out in this way, one can imagine the characterisation of other roles. All lacked emotional depth and came with over the top performances.The songs tuned by Ravi Basrur, Vishal Mishra, Tanishk Bagchi are not up to the mark. They impact looked forced and failed to make an impression. Ravi Basrur scored the background score and it is ok at times but most of the time it turned out to be below average. The Cinematography of Rajeev Rai turned the film into a visually appealing one. She showed the scenes in a natural way and created the Goa scenes showing Portuguese role in a realistic way. What surprises all is that the director did not include a female lead in the film. He showed the female character as the sister to the three main characters.The dialogues are entertaining and natural, and none of them look forced and out of sync. The interval bang is done well turning the first half into a decent one. The second half continues in the same manner, and the screenplay and narration goes in a smooth and sedate manner.However for all the positives, the director after highlighting the conflict point and establishing it quite well, ends the film in a flat manner, disappointing all.The cinematography of SVK showed the Hyderabad old city vibes in a natural and realistic way. He used the camera angles to perfection and showed the nightlife and also the day hustles quite well and in an effective manner.The background score of Smaran Sai is good and complemented the proceedings, adding value to the narration. He came up with foot-tapping songs highlighting the old city culture and Deccani flavor. The editing of Rohit Penumasta is ok but could have been better, as there are a few drags that slowed the pace of the narration. However, in between, he loses steam, but still, the first half ends on a decent note, setting the tone for the second half.He continues in the same manner in the second half but adds a few more intense emotional elements. A couple of twists generate interest, surprising all. The twists come as a surprise in a rather predictable story, and the flat narration, especially in the second half. However, once the twists are unraveled, there is nothing much in the story to take it forward. The climax ends on an emotional note.GV. Prakash Kumar elevated the scenes with his background music. His background score added impact to the emotional scenes. His music and tunes for the songs already became the chartbusters. While one song is emotional, the other two songs are foot-tapping. His background music is in sync with the story. Vinod Bangari's cinematography is quite good. He showed the rural atmosphere in Telangana in a natural and realistic manner. Srujan Adusumilli's editing could have been far better as there are many repetitive scenes that dragged the pace of the narration. Dialogues are natural and hard-hitting. He tried to send a message to society in an entertaining manner but fails to connect chords with the viewers completely as the conflict point turns out to be weak.Uday Chauhan chose a simple point and tried to drive home an important message on how technology impacting the lives of people and children neglecting their parents in the old age. He takes the viewers into the story at the start itself but from then on failed to drive home the point in a convincing manner. The Ravi , Swetha love track and the father-daughter marriage episodes ends up testing the patience of the viewers.The court drama and the land dispute in the second half is shown in an illogical and silly manner. The point as to why son is hating his father is not shown in an elaborate manner and the father son bonding is not elevated properly except in the climax.A more racy screenplay, more intense and entertaining script would have added value to the narration. Considering all these aspects Cinejosh goes with a 1.75 rating for Pallaburusu.
