Marriage no longer taboo

Gone are the days when an actress had to bid goodbye to her career after entering into wedlock. Gone are the days when the actress was forbidden from getting married until she had made most of her career and was in her mid 30s. Gone are the days when a married actress was typecast in a mother’s or sister’s role.

Now are the days of recognizing the talented actress and of keeping the leading ladies in the lead even if they are married. In Bollywood we have Ayesha Takia who has landed the leading lady role in Wanted despite her marital status. Tollywood too is heading the same direction with Bhumika playing lead roles even after marriage. The actress who plays the heroine in Yagam is confident of retaining her heroine status for many years to come.
