Akkineni Multistarrer Put On Back Burner

The much awaited Akkineni family film with Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni has been shelved for now. Planned by director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala and produced by Zee Studios and Annapurna Studios, the film was eyeing a Sankranti 2027 release. Shoot was to start in July.
Reports say the final script didn’t fully convince Chaitanya and Akhil. Both reportedly had story reservations and asked for changes. Nagarjuna chose to wait rather than rush. With no official statement yet, trade circles believe the project is temporarily paused due to creative differences.
Naga Chaitanya has a busy slate including
Dootha 2, a new film with director Clax, and a horror thriller. He is reportedly picking diverse scripts to expand range. The momentum from
Thandel and Vrushakarma has boosted his market value in Telugu cinema.
Akhil is reading two new scripts after Lenin success and may finalize soon. Nagarjuna will focus on his 100th film King once his sons finish current projects. He may also announce another film post Dasara. Fans hope the multistarrer returns later with a stronger script.
