Rishabh Shetty starts Kantara2 final leg, makers on crew member death. Rishabh Shetty's Kantara 2 has been in news for all the wrong reasons. Couple of days back reports came that a junior artist, Kapil died during the shoot while going for the swim in Souparnika River.
Even as AICWA reacted calling for a probe on the incident the makers denied it. AICWA posted "In this latest tragedy, the claim of drowning needs to be thoroughly investigated to determine if it is the true cause of death or if there are other factors involved. AICWA urges the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah, to initiate a high-level, impartial investigation into the death of MF Kapil, ensuring justice for his family,"
Kantara 2 executive producer Adarsh JA said the team deeply regrets the "unfortunate incident" and rejected the reports that the accident did not take place on the sets of the film.
"In fact, there was no shooting scheduled on the day the incident occurred. The incident happened during his personal trip with friends. We request everyone to kindly avoid any speculation linking it to the film," Adarsh claimed in a statement.
Reports are coming that Rishabh Shetty is ready to shoot for the final leg of the shoot. The final schedule is being shot at a location about 20 kms from Kundapur, Karnataka. The film is up for release on 2 October 2025.
